Abstract
Objective To explore the application value of early acupuncture treatment in patients with hemiplegia after acute cerebral infarction. Methods Ninety patients with hemiplegia after acute cerebral infarction(ACI)admitted to our hospital from August 2023 to February 2025 were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group(conventional treatment,n=30),an observation group(conventional treatment+early acupuncture,n=30),and a sham acupuncture group(conventional treatment+shallow needling at non-acupoints and non-meridians,n=30).The limb motor function(Fugl-Meyer Assessment,FMA score),balance function(Berg Balance Scale,BBS score),muscle tone(Mod-ified Ashworth Scale,MAS grade),activities of daily living(Barthel Index,BI score),quality of life(36-Item Short Form Health Survey,SF-36 score),and incidence of complications were compared among the three groups. Results Before treatment, there were no significant differences in FMA score,BBS score,MAS grade,BI score, and SF-36 score among the three groups(P>0.05).After treatment, all the above scores and grades were significantly improved in all three groups(P<0.05).Furthermore,the FMA score,BBS score,BI score, and SF-36 score in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group and the sham acupuncture group(P<0.05),while the MAS grade was significantly lower than that in the control and sham acupuncture groups(P<0.05).After treatment, there was no significant difference in the above scores and grades between the control group and the sham acupuncture group(P<0.05).The complication rate in the obser-vation group was 6.67%,significantly lower than the 23.33%in the control group and 20.00%in the sham acupuncture group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in complication rate between the sham acupuncture group and the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion Early acupuncture combined with conventional rehabilitation therapy can significantly improve limb motor function, balance function, and activities of daily living in patients with hemiplegia after acute cerebral infarction, while reducing limb muscle tone and the risk of complications.关键词
