Abstract
Objective To evaluate the application effect of edaravone dexborneol on neurological function recovery in patients with acute cerebral infarction.Methods A total of 300 patients with acute cerebral infarction admitted to The Affiliated Hospital of Putian University from August 2023 to July 2025 were included.They were divided into two groups using a random number table method,with 150 patients in each group.The control group received conventional treatment,while the observation group received intravenous infusion of edaravone dexborneol in addition to conventional treatment,for a course of 14 days.The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)and the Barthel Index were used to assess neurological deficit severity and activities of daily living,respectively.The levels of neuron-specific enolase(NSE),tu-mor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α),and interleukin-6(IL-6)were measured.Functional outcomes and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,NIHSS scores in both groups decreased significantly over time(P<0.001),and Barthel Index scores increased significantly(P<0.001).The improvements in the observation group were significantly superior to those in the control group at 14 days and 90 days post-treatment(P<0.001).After 14 days of treatment,the levels of NSE,TNF-α,and IL-6 in both groups were significantly lower than before treatment(P<0.001),and all indicators in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.001).At 90 days post-treatment,the modified Rankin Scale(mRS)score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group[(1.88±0.43)points vs(2.37±0.39)points,P<0.001],and the rate of favorable prognosis was significantly higher than that of the control group(68.00%vs.54.00%,P=0.013).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups during treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion Combined with conven-tional therapy,edaravone dexborneol can effectively alleviate the inflammatory response in patients with acute cerebral infarction,promote neurological function recovery,significantly improve patients'medium-term(90-day)functional prognosis,and demonstrates a favorable safety profile.关键词
