Development Analysis of Xinjiang's Sheep Industry in 2025 and Forecast for 2026
摘要
Abstract
[Objective]This study aimed to analyze the development situation of the sheep industry in Xinjiang in 2025,forecast its trend for 2026,and propose countermeasures and recommendations to address current issues in the industry.[Methods]By combining industry dynamics information and market conditions,a method integrating both qualitative and quantitative approaches was adopted.[Results]In 2025,the sheep inventory decreased year-on-year,while the number of sheep slaughtered and mutton production increased.The prices of corn,soybean meal and wheat bran declined year-on-year,in contrast,those of mutton and live sheep reversed the three-year continuous decline and showed a year-on-year increase.The loss rate of large-scale breeding farms monitored by the Xinjiang sheep industry technology system decreased,and although the income of large-scale fattening farms had narrowed compared to previous period,overall profitability was still maintained.[Conclusion]Looking ahead to 2026,as the winter consumption peak gradually approaches and seasonal consumer demand steadily releases,the sheep industry is expected to enter a healthy development path characterized by"slow recovery of production capacity,stable demand,and steady price increases".The orientation towards high-quality development in the sheep industry is becoming increasingly prominent,however,challenges are still faced by the sheep industry in Xinjiang,such as traditional farming methods and high costs of key inputs,making it difficult for farmers to improve profitability.It was recommended to further promote the transformation of production models and implement measures to reduce costs and improve efficiency in the mutton sheep industry to achieve high-quality development goal.关键词
