Identification of Structural Damage and Impact Force Based on Non-contact Visual Measurement

Abstract
Engineering structures may suffer damage under external loads,and non-contact visual mea-surement methods have been used for structural damage identification or load identification,but the coupling effect between structural damage and unknown input loads has not been considered.There-fore,this study proposed an iterative identification method for structural damage and impact force based on non-contact visual measurement.First,the multi-point displacement response of the target structure was extracted by a sub-pixel template matching algorithm,and the external load was recon-structed based on the relationship between input load and output response.Then,the displacement re-sponse was calculated using the reconstructed external load and estimated structural parameters.The difference between the measured and calculated displacement responses was defined as the objective function,which was then optimized by an adaptive hybrid swarm intelligence algorithm.Finally,the structural damage and impact force were identified simultaneously.The effectiveness of the method was verified through an outdoor shaking table test on a cold-formed steel framed wall structure and an experiment on an eight-story steel frame.The results showed that the proposed method could accurate-ly identify structural damage and impact force simultaneously,demonstrating favorable application prospects in the field of structural health monitoring.关键词
