Abstract

Driven by the national strategy of"building China into a leading space power"and synergized with emerging industries such as commercial aerospace and the low-altitude economy,China's remote sensing technology has achieved leapfrog development.This paper systematically reviews the construction journey of China's remote sensing satellite systems from the initial exploration to systematic and commercialized development.It summarizes the technological breakthroughs and enhanced observational capabilities achieved in various payload categories,including high-resolution,hyperspectral,and synthetic aperture radar(SAR).Research indicates that China has now established a diversified Earth observation system featuring complementary national operational satellites and commercial satellites,with both launch volume and technical capabilities ranking among the forefront globally.The deep integration of artificial intelligence technologies is driving the transformation of remote sensing data processing toward intelligence and real-time operation,which has significantly improved the efficiency and accuracy of data interpretation.At the application level,remote sensing technology has expanded from traditional fields such as geological prospecting,agricultural monitoring,and meteorology/oceanography,gradually extending into emerging application scenarios including precision agriculture,carbon sink monitoring,and remote sensing data trading.Industry-intelligent paradigms represented by the"Future Exploration System"are promoting the deep integration of remote sensing technology with intelligent equipment,thereby driving the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries toward greener,more precise,and unmanned operations.However,China's remote sensing development still faces challenges such as insufficient autonomy in core technologies,limited scale of application,and an underdeveloped industrial ecosystem.Looking ahead,it is essential to further strengthen basic research and core technology breakthroughs,deepen technology integration and industrial promotion,build an open and collaborative data and application ecosystem,and actively participate in global remote sensing governance to foster continuous innovation and high-quality development of China's remote sensing technology.
