Study on prevention of lower extremity deep venous thrombosis after stroke by intermittent pneumatic compression pump combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation

Abstract
Objective To investigate the preventive effect of combination of intermittent pneumatic compression pump and neuromuscular electrical stimulation on lower extremity deep venous thrombosis(LEDVT)after stroke.Methods A total of 128 stroke patients admitted to 363 Hospital from October 2022 to October 2024 were divided into the control group(n=64,intermittent pneumatic compression pump)and the observation group(n=64,intermittent pneumatic compression pump+neuromuscular electrical stimulation)according to the simple random sampling method.The two groups were compared in terms of coagulation function indexes before and after treatment and femoral vein blood flow velocities in both lower extremities before and after treatment.The LEDVT and complications were recorded in the two groups.Results After treatment,prothrombin time(PT),activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT)and thrombin time(TT)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,while the levels of D-dimer(D-D)and fibrinogen(FIB)were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the left lower extremity and right lower extremity femoral vein blood flow velocities in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The observation group had lower incidence rate of LEDVT than the control group(6.25%vs 18.75%,P<0.05).No significant differences were exhibited in the incidence rates of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Intermittent pneumatic compression pump plus neuromuscular electrical stimulation can improve the coagulation indexes in stroke patients,accelerate the blood flow velocity,and prevent the LEDVT.关键词
