摘要

Abstract

Chlamydia psittaci(CPS)is a gram-negative obligate intracellular bacterium with an extensive host range,infecting over 400 avian species and certain mammals,and is known to cause zoonotic pneumonia.Transmission primarily occurs through aerosols and direct contact,posing significant threats to both human and animal health,which highlights its substantial public health importance.Due to its relatively low incidence and nonspecific clinical symptoms,CPS infections are frequently overlooked or misdiagnosed in clinical practice.Consequently,laboratory diagnostics play a pivotal role,with current methods including pathogen isolation and culture,serological testing,and molecular biological assays.Among these,pathogen isolation and culture is considered the gold standard;however,this approach is constrained by prolonged turnaround times,low positivity rates,and stringent biosafety requirements.This review systematically examined various serological and molecular diagnostic techniques for psittacosis,both domestically and internationally,providing a comprehensive comparative analysis of their respective advantages and limitations.Furthermore,it offered perspectives on future trends in diagnostic development,aiming to provide scientific basis and technical references for the advancement and application of novel detection technologies and the optimization of the comprehensive prevention and control strategies.
