城镇化对福建省林业全要素生产率的影响
The Impact of Urbanization on Total Factor Productivity of Forestry in Fujian Province
摘要
Abstract
⑴ Background——Enhancing total factor productivity(TFP)is an inherent requirement for promoting high-quality development.The improvement of TFP of forestry is not only a core indicator of new quality produc-tive forces in forestry,but also the driving force for promoting high-quality development of forestry.The continu-ous advancement of the urbanization process has an increasingly significant impact on TFP of forestry.However,existing studies mostly focus on the analysis at the provincial level,while there is a lack of sufficient exploration into the impact of urbanization on TFP of forestry at the county level. ⑵ Methods——This paper first used the dual economic theory to analyze the theoretical logic of urbaniza-tion promoting the TFP of forestry.Then,it adopted the input-oriented DEA-Malmquist index method with varia-ble returns to scale to measure the TFP of forestry of 84 counties(cities and districts)in Fujian Province from 2012 to 2021.Meanwhile,it used the fixed-effects model and mediating-effects model to explore the impact of ur-banization on the TFP of forestry in Fujian Province and its mechanism,and analyzed the heterogeneity of this impact from two dimensions:region and urbanization level. ⑶ Results——First,urbanization has significantly enhanced the TFP of forestry at the county level in Fu-jian Province.The agglomeration and optimal allocation of production factors brought about by the urbanization process have promoted the advancement of forestry technology and the improvement of forestry management lev-els,thereby increasing the TFP of forestry.Second,green technology innovation and human capital play a crucial mediating role in the impact of urbanization on the TFP of forestry in Fujian Province.Third,the role of urbani-zation in promoting TFP in forestry exhibits regional heterogeneity.The promoting effect of urbanization on TFP in forestry is significantly stronger in inland areas than in coastal areas,and this difference stems from the resource endowments and developmental stages of the two types of regions. ⑷ Conclusions and Discussions——Firstly,break down barriers to factor mobility and activate the fun-damental efficiency of intermediaries.The agglomeration effect of urbanization can alleviate the problems of dis-persed factors and lagging technology in forestry production.Green technology innovation activation and human capital level improvement,as the core prerequisites for mediating effects,can quickly release the positive em-powering effect on forestry total factor productivity.Secondly,strengthen the dual-wheel driving mechanism and optimize the regional coordination pattern.Urbanization,through the dual-wheel mediating mechanism of green technology innovation and human capital,can further amplify the promoting effect on forestry total factor produc-tivity.At the same time,based on regional heterogeneity characteristics,regional coordination and improvement can be achieved.关键词
