Effects of Gastrodia elata Polysaccharide on Growth Performance,Antioxidant Activity and Nonspecific Immune Function of Crucian Carp(Carassius auratus)

Abstract
The purpose of this experiment was to study the effects of Gastrodia elata polysaccharides(GEP)on the growth performance,antioxidation cativity and non-specific immune function of crucian carp(Caras-sius auratus).A total of 800 crucian carps with an average weight of(5.50±0.50)g were randomly divided into four groups with five repeats in each group and 40 in each group.They were control group(without adding Gastrodia elata polysaccharides,group C),high dose group of Gastrodia elata polysaccharides(adding 1.0%Gastrodia elata polysaccharides,group H),multiple medium dose groups of Gastrodia elata(adding 0.5%Gastrodia elata polysaccharides,group M)and low dose group of Gastrodia elata polysac-charides(adding 0.1%Gastrodia elata polysac-charides,group L).The experimental period was 56 days.The results showed that group H,M and L could increase the survival rate and weight gain rate of crucian carp,and group M reached a signifi-cant level(P<0.05).The feed coefficient in the group H and M was significantly lower than that in the group C(P<0.05).The hepatopancreatic index and catalase activity of crucian carp in group H,M and L were significantly higher than those in the group C P<0.05),while the content of MDA was signifi-cantly lower than that in the group C(P<0.05).The spleen index and lysozyme activity in the group M were significantly higher than those in the other three groups(P<0.05).To sum up,Gastrodia elata polysaccha-rides can improve the growth performance,antioxidation and non-specific immune function of crucian carp.关键词
