Abstract
Objective To explore the classification of negative physical self-evaluation trajectories and their impact on social appearance anxiety in female patients with psoriasis.Methods A total of 200 female patients with psoriasis who were treated at Jingdezhen Dermatology Hospital from January 2022 to June 2024 were selected by convenience sampling.The Negative Physical Self Scale(NPSS)was used to assess patients'negative physical self-evaluation scores at baseline,1 month,3 months,and 6 months after the initial visit.A growth mixture model was used to identify the optimal number of trajectory classes and name the resulting classes.The Social Appearance Anxiety Scale(SAAS)was used to assess patients'social appearance anxiety levels.The Physical Appearance Perfectionism Scale(PPAS)was used to assess patients'satisfaction with their appearance perfection.The Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS)was used to assess patients'social support status.The General Information Questionnaire and the hospital's electronic medical record system were used to collect patients'clinical data.Correlation analysis,univariate analysis,and multivariate linear regression analysis were conducted to identify independent influencing factors of social appearance anxiety.Results Among the 200 patients,55.50%of the patients had a body surface area(BSA)>10%,and 38.50%had a psoriasis area and severity index(PASI)>10,with some lesions fluctuating with treatment.Negative physical self-evaluation trajectories could be classified into three latent classes:persistently worsening(35 patients,17.50%),gradually adapting(73 patients,36.50%),and periodically fluctuating(92 patients,46.00%).Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that a high PPAS score,large BSA,and persistently worsening negative physical self-evaluation trajectory were independent risk factors for social appearance anxiety in female patients with psoriasis,while a higher SSRS score and gradually adapting negative physical self-evaluation trajectory were protective factors(P<0.05 for all).Conclusion There are three distinct trajectories of negative physical self-evaluation in female patients with psoriasis,exhibiting population heterogeneity.These trajectories significantly affect their social appearance anxiety,necessitating personalized interventions for high-risk populations.关键词
