Research Progress on Waterlogging Stress Tolerance Mechanism of Vegetable

Abstract
Against the backdrop of global climate change,extreme precipitation events have occurred frequently,and waterlogging stress has become a key abiotic stress factor restricting vegetable production.Most vegetables have shallow root systems and underdeveloped aerenchyma,making them sensitive to waterlogging,which leads to significant declines in yield and quality.This paper systematically reviews the research progress on waterlogging tolerance in vegetable crops,focusing on the perception and signal transduction of waterlogging stress,transcriptional regulation and identification of key waterlogging-tolerance genes,the regulatory roles of plant hormones and the synergistic network among hormones.It also summarizes molecular strategies for waterlogging-tolerant breeding,such as marker-assisted selection,gene pyramiding,and gene editing,and proposes future research directions including the analysis of waterlogging-tolerance gene regulatory networks,exploration of genetic diversity,and establishment of field identification systems.The aim is to reveal the common laws and species-specific characteristics of waterlogging tolerance in vegetables,and provide theoretical support and practical references for the utilization of waterlogging-tolerance gene resources and the breeding of new waterlogging-resistant vegetable varieties.关键词
