Abstract

To address the problems of high energy consumption and high carbon emissions of railway passenger stations in the western region,this paper proposed region-specific energy-saving and carbon reduction strategies.Field investigations and a literature review were conducted to analyze the operation characteristics of railway passenger stations,and a typical station was selected as the research object to carry out multi-condition energy consumption simulations.The effects of thermal parameters of different building envelopes and layout methods of photovoltaics on the energy consumption of railway passenger stations were systematically investigated.Meanwhile,a net present value method was introduced to quantitatively study the energy-saving potential and economic benefits of building envelope optimization and solar photovoltaic utilization.The results show that under the premise of meeting energy-saving standards,improving the thermal performance of walls,roofs,and doors and windows significantly reduces the energy consumption of railway passenger stations.When 90 mm rock wool boards for walls,80 mm extruded polystyrene boards for roofs,and polyurethane windows are selected as the insulation layer configuration,the energy consumption is additionally reduced by about 25.82%on the existing basis;when rooftop photovoltaic modules are laid out at a south-facing 30° tilt angle,the energy production reaches the maximum,amounting to 153 025.47 kW·h,which minimizes the total energy consumption and carbon emissions of railway passenger stations.Economic analysis shows that the profit of the comprehensive retrofit scheme is 254 000 CNY,indicating good investment feasibility.
