Abstract

Train group operation technology can effectively alleviate the shortage of transportation capacity in heavy-haul railways.Real-time acquisition of the following distance between trains is one of the key prerequisites for implementing this technology.To this end,an improved method for real-time acquisition of group train following distance based on train dynamic responses was proposed,which obtained the train time interval according to the correlation of dynamic responses of adjacent trains in the group.To enhance the robustness of the method,an adaptive correction strategy was designed to cope with interference factors in the actual operation environment of trains.The method was validated through simulations using simulation data and actual line data,respectively.The results show that the calculated train following distances can achieve high accuracy when using both simulation data and field measured data.Moreover,the designed improved strategy makes the method possess extremely high computational efficiency and excellent anti-interference capability,which can meet the real-time requirements for group train following distance acquisition and provide a reference for the development of heavy-haul train group operation technology.
