Abstract
Objective To evaluate the impact of point reduction forceps and face-point reduction forceps on the inferior tibiofibular symphysis through finite element analysis.Methods A three-dimensional model of the ankle joint was established using CT images of the ankle joint,and a model of inferior tibiofibular symphysis injury was simulated.Finite element analysis was then used to assess the maximum displacement,maximum stress,rotation angle,and relative sliding of the reduction forceps in the injury model.Results ① In the point reduction forceps model of the inferior tibiofibular symphysis injury:At a 30° angle,with increasing load,the maximum stress,maximum displacement,and rotation angle of the fibula gradually increased;at a 0° angle,as the load increased,both the maximum stress and maximum displacement of the fibula increased,even leading to posterior and internal rotation displacement under a load of 165 N;② When comparing the two types of reduction clamps after reduction to the lower fibula injury model:the maximum stress experienced by the fibula in the face-point clamp model was lower than that in the point reduction clamp model(52.18 MPa<143.41 MPa),and the relative sliding of this clamp was also less than that of the point reduction clamp model(0.30 mm<0.80 mm on the X-axis;0.06 mm<1.07 mm on the Y-axis).Conclusion ① The angle and clamping force of the point reduction clamp significantly affect the reduction outcome,and finite element analysis indicated that the point reduction clamp applied a load of 125 N in the 0° direction showed the smallest absolute displacements in all directions,making it the recommended optimal working condition.② The face-point reduction clamp has good adhesion and strong gripping force,thereby reducing changes in the direction and position of the reduction clamp,providing biomechanical evidence for the next step of clinical experimental research.关键词
