RESEARCH ON THE SYMBOLIC TRANSLATION AND APPLICATION OF PLANT TRANSFORMATION NARRATIVES IN ANIMATION CHARACTER DESIGN

Abstract
Based on the theories of Procrustean morphology,literary imaging and symbolic translation,this article studies the inner structure of plant transformation narratives and its cultural symbols in Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio,and explores its application path in animation character design.Starting from the theoretical framework of traditional narrative and symbol translation,the article explains the basic logic of plant transformation narratives and its morphological characteristics.Combining with classic animation works,it analyzes the internal mechanism of symbol conversion and character identity transfiguration in animation narrative.Through the case of character design with original animation projects,it analyzes in detail about the symbolism of dress patterns,color composition,and the interaction between narrative plots,and further discusses how to achieve cultural reconstruction of animated character images through the integration of traditional symbols and modern design language.关键词
