Abstract

In the article,an analytical method for the determination of calcium stearate content in plastic compound additives was established based on hot filtration-wet digestion-flame atomic absorption spectrometry(FAAS).After the samples were pulverized,the effects of organic solvents on the separation and purification efficiency of calcium stearate and the effects of digestion conditions on the digestion efficiency of calcium stearate were investigated.The results showed that when dimethyl sulfoxide was used as the solvent and the samples were subjected to hot filtration treatment,calcium stearate was essentially completely separated from other interfering components(such as calcium carbonate);wet digestion using nitric acid as the digestion solution could effectively shorten the digestion time of calcium stearate.The pretreated test solution was analyzed for calcium content by FAAS,quantified by the external standard curve method,and converted to the calcium stearate content in the sample.Method validation demonstrated that calcium ions exhibited good linearity in the mass concentration range of 0~10.0 mg/L(R2=0.999 6),with spike recoveries of 98.57%~103.30%and a relative standard deviation of 1.62%.The method offered the advantages of simple operation,rapid analysis,high precision,and good accuracy,and was suitable for efficient quantitative analysis of calcium stearate in plastic compound additives.
