Abstract
In order to evaluate the performance of commercial kits for immune antibodies against rabies vaccines,and to assess the immune effect of the vaccines,taking fluorescent antibody virus neutralization test(FAVN)as a gold standard,enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)kit A with batch No.of 806F and colloidal gold test strip C with good performance were selected from ELISA kit A with batch Nos.of 307E and 806F,B and strips C and D,through detecting rabies immune antibodies in 20 canine reference serum samples,to detect 219 samples randomly collected from immunized dogs and cats in Dongguan City in combination with FAVN.The results showed that significant differences were observed through the three methods(P<0.01),the positive detection rate was the highest by FAVN,and the lowest by strip C that was with higher specificity;the differences were more obviously in detection of weakly positive samples,but the concordance rate was higher for negative or strongly positive samples;the positive rates of serum antibodies detected by the three methods were significantly higher in dogs than in cats(P<0.01),and serum neutralizing antibody titers and antibody positive rates were greatly increased by booster immunization(number of immunization≥2).A reference was provided for selection of methods for detecting immune antibodies against rabies vaccines in dogs and cats,as well as for application of immunization with rabies vaccines.关键词
