The Mechanism and Pathways for Empowering Modern People-Centered Urban Development through Urban Age-Friendly Transformation
摘要
Abstract
The 15th Five-Year Plan period marks a pivotal stage in China's rapid population ageing,coinciding with the advancement of people-centered new urbanization.As the focus of urban development shifts towards'investing in people',a systematic'age-friendly'transformation is imperative for reconfiguring China's urban development model and governance logic.The Central Urban Work Conference has set forth new objectives and tasks for building modern people-centered cities,further enriching the concept of urban age-friendly transformation.In advancing Chinese-style modernization,leveraging urban age-friendly transformation to build modern people-centered cities first requires a profound understanding of their shared objectives and fundamental characteristics.Then,from innovative,livable,beautiful,resilient,civilized,and intelligent dimensions,the theoretical mechanisms through which urban age-friendly transformation can empower the construction of modern people-centered cities in China shall be elucidated,and feasible innovation-driven practical pathways shall also be proposed.This aims to bolster high-quality urban development and governance modernization,thereby charting a uniquely Chinese path to urban modernization that actively addresses population ageing and promotes the comprehensive development of individuals.关键词
