摘要
Abstract
Oculomotor nerve palsy is primarily characterized by ipsilateral ptosis, impaired adduction, elevation, and depression of the eyeball and diplopia. Its etiology is complex and varied, including trauma, viral infection, brainstem infarction, diabetes, inflammation, etc.Western Medicine treatments often face limitations in medicine efficacy and high surgical risks. This article reports a case of complete oculomotor nerve palsy caused by viral encephalitis, treated with an integrated approach centered on CHENG's Sancai needling technique, combined with electroacupuncture, superficial needling, and the mecobalamin. The patient presented with complete upper eyelid ptosis, restricted multidirectional eye movement, mydriasis, and absent light reflex.Acupuncture points were selected based on the Sancai point combination principle, employing the"heaven, earth and human"Sancai needling method for multi-level and multi-target precise stimulation. This was combined with dense-disperse wave electroacupuncture and superficial needling of the eyelid. After eight weeks of treatment, the patient's left upper eyelid elevation, eyeball movement, pupillary light reflex, and blurred vision substantially returned to normal. The results suggest that CHENG's Sancai needling technique, combined with electroacupuncture and superficial needling, may effectively improve symptoms of oculomotor nerve palsy by regulating local Qi and blood, stimulating ocular muscles, and promoting nerve repair.关键词
