Abstract
In order to investigate the pathogenic characteristics of domestic avian reovirus(ARV),the avian reovirus-positive clinical samples were homogenized and then inoculated into chicken embryos.After three passages,a target strain of avian reovirus was obtained.Upon identification,this strain was determined to be ARV genotype Ⅳ,free from contamination by other exogenous viruses,with a viral titer of 5×105.5 ELD50/mL.This isolate exhibited significant pathogenicity towards both chicken embryos and specific-pathogen-free(SPF)chickens,causing 100%mortality in inoculated chicken embryos and 100%morbidity in 3-week-old SPF chickens.The successful isolation of this strain has provided an important basis for epidemiological studies on avian reovirus strains in China.关键词
