一例犊牛肺炎伴发真胃阻塞的诊治
A case report:diagnosis and treatment of concurrent pneumonia and abomasal impaction in calf

Abstract
Pneumonia and abomasal impaction are common internal diseases in beef cattle farming,both characterized by high treatment difficulty and mortality rates.In clinical practice,these two conditions often occur independently,while concurrent cases are relatively rare.Once they occur together,the condition tends to become more complex,and the difficulty of treatment increases significantly.A case of a five-month-old simmental calf was diagnosed with concurrent pneumonia and abomasal impaction after long-distance transport.Through comprehensive clinical examination,complete blood count,and biochemical analysis,the calf was confirmed to have severe inflammatory responses,dehydration,and electrolyte imbalances.A phased comprehensive treatment protocol was implemented,including preoperative fluid therapy to correct metabolic disorders,right-sided abomasotomy to remove a large amount of accumulated dry hay content,and postoperative integrated care targeting both infection control and gastrointestinal functional recovery.The calf recovered within 15 days after surgery.This case provides valuable insights for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of such complex conditions,offering practical significance for improving calf survival rates and enhancing farming efficiency.关键词
