Professor Chen Jianjie's Experience in Treating Alcoholic Liver Disease
摘要
Abstract
Currently,there is a lack of specific traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)therapies for alcoholic liver disease.Based on over 50 years of clinical practice,Professor Chen Jianjie has summarized that alcoholic liver disease is primarily caused by excessive alcohol consumption leading to the retention of damp-heat in the liver.The main treatment approach involves clearing heat and resolving dampness,with the progression of the disease divided into three stages.In the early stage,the treatment focuses on regulating qi,resolving dampness,soothing the liver,and harmonizing the stomach.In the middle stage,when pathogenic factors enter the blood and vital qi becomes deficient,the primary treatment approach involves clearing the liver,strengthening the spleen,and promoting blood circulation to remove stasis.In the later stage,when vital qi is deficient and pathogenic factors linger,and the liver,spleen,and kidneys lose coordination,treatment is based on a syndrome differentiation of the relative severity of qi,blood,and water disorders.The approach involves carefully assessing the timing and progression of the condition,weighing the balance between vital qi and pathogenic factors,and determining the priority and urgency of supporting vital qi versus eliminating pathogenic factors.Throughout all three stages,enhancing the function of the spleen and stomach is a consistent focus of treatment.关键词
