Prospects of DNA Molecular Markers in Crop Variety Identification

Abstract
DNA molecular markers exhibit notable advantages,including high polymorphism and stability,rendering them extensively utilized in domains such as genetic mapping and varietal identification.This review synthesizes the evolution of DNA molecular markers and their re-search advancements in the context of crop varietal identification.Within this field,SSR,SNP,and MNP markers have emerged as predomi-nant tools,owing to their operational simplicity and elevated accuracy,thereby substantially enhancing the efficiency and precision of DUS tes-ting.Nevertheless,challenges persist,such as the elevated costs associated with marker development for complex genomes and limitations in accuracy due to interference from repetitive genomic regions.Looking forward,the iterative refinement of sequencing technologies and the inte-gration of multi-omics methodologies are poised to usher varietal identification into a comprehensive molecular marker era,facilitating the opti-mized use of breeding resources and the global standardization of identification protocols.关键词
