Abstract
Ecological water replenishment in Chaobai River triggered explosive growth of aquatic plants,resulting in a large amount of aquatic plant waste.To dispose of this waste efficiently and in a timely manner to protect the ecological environment,a four-year pilot study was conducted.Based on the water characteristics of Chaobai River and the current status of aquatic plant growth,harvesting,and transportation,industrial composting technology was applied to treat the aquatic plant waste and recycle the products.The results showed that the industrial composting process reduced the maturation period to 15 days,which significantly improved treatment efficiency compared to on-site composting.The compost product achieved an organic matter content of 40％～60％,successfully realizing both harmless treatment and resource utilization of the waste.This research established a closed-loop technical model of"harvesting-transportation-conversion-reuse"for aquatic plant waste management in seasonal water-replenished rivers in northern China,offering engineering applicability and serving as a demonstration for ecological restoration.关键词
