辨章学术、考镜源流:中国古代科技典籍英译的学脉与理路
English Translation Literature of Ancient Chinese Scientific and Technological Classics:Theoretical Basis and Practical Paths

Abstract
Since the 19th century,the English translation of Chinese scientific and technological classics has undergone a profound transformation.To put it differently,it is shifting from Western dominance to Chinese initiative,and from individual deeds to government-supported projects.Meanwhile,academic research on related literature is burgeoning.Against this background,this paper,grounded in the view of philology,aims to verify that English translations of these classics not only expand the dissemination scope of the original works in the sense of language,but also,due to their connection with the research topics of classical philology,should be regarded as an integral part of relevant studies.They should occupy a position within the field of Chinese scientific and technological philology.On this basis of the scholarly context of philology,the translation of these classics can draw some lessons in accordance with the development rules,such as carrying out dialogue among scholars from philology and pertinent disciplines.Also,translators should be well-versed in their stylistic features,ensure targeted selection of materials that align with national strategies,and follow scholarly rigor and historical objectivity.In so doing,the enriched resources will provide support for the research into science history of China,and contribute to winning an international discourse for Chinese old science and technology.关键词
