New Method for Precise Analysis of Detonation Parameters of RDX-Based Aluminized Explosives

Abstract
The accurate analysis of detonation parameters of shaped charge perforator explosives is a prerequisite for assessing the strength safety of oil casing strings in perforation intervals.To enhance the detonation strength of explosives used in petroleum shaped charges,metal powders such as aluminum are often added,which distinguishes their detonation parameter analysis from that of conventional explosives.For the accurate and efficient calculation of detonation parameters of aluminized explosives,this paper considers the effects of aluminum-oxygen mole ratio and charge density.Based on the theories of explosion mechanics and thermodynamics,and employing the volume-weighted method,a new formula for calculating the detonation velocity of mixed explosives is proposed by introducing the void fraction.Furthermore,by incorporating the mass coefficient and the compaction/loose packing correction factor into the Kamlet formula,a new formula for calculating the detonation pressure of aluminized explosives is derived,along with a novel method for analyzing detonation heat.Accordingly,the detonation heat,velocity,and pressure of six types of RDX-based aluminized explosives are calculated.Comparison with experimental values from classical literature showed mean absolute deviation of 1.68%for detonation heat,1.46%for detonation velocity,and 2.16%for detonation pressure.The results demonstrate that the calculation accuracy of the new method established in this study fully meets the precision requirements for engineering applications.This method significantly enhances the theoretical predictive accuracy for the detonation parameters of aluminized explosives,effectively solving the problem of excessive deviation in traditional empirical formulas under high aluminum content conditions.It provides more reliable fundamental parameters for the strength safety analysis of casing strings in perforation intervals,facilitates the optimization of shaped charge design,improves the efficiency of perforation operations,and helps mitigate operational risks.关键词
