Abstract

To address security challenges in group communication within the Internet of Vehicles(IoV),such as low authentication efficiency and high latency in key updates,this study proposes a lightweight blockchain-based identity authentication scheme.The scheme achieves efficient and secure group communication through a threefold mechanism.First,a lightweight identity authentication mechanism is designed,in which long-term pseudonyms,public keys of urban buses,and random numbers are used to randomize vehicle pseudonyms,thereby reducing the storage burden on third-party authorities while ensuring vehicle privacy and unlinkability of communication behaviors.Second,an enhanced blockchain-based verifiable authentication framework is introduced,where smart contracts enable transparent identity management by binding digital tags generated by third-party private keys with vehicle information,forming a tamper-resistant authentication chain.Third,leveraging the confusion characteristics of Rule 30 cellular automata,a dynamic key generation algorithm is developed to support millisecond-level key updates.Security analysis and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed scheme satisfies stringent security requirements,including anonymity,traceability,forward secrecy,and backward secrecy,while effectively reducing both computational and communication overhead.
