Abstract

Laser Melting Deposition(LMD)technology has been extensively adopted in sectors including aerospace,energy power,and heavy machinery,while its application in nuclear power production remains relatively limited.The one of core constraint stems from the inadequacy of service performance evaluation data for LMD-fabricated components.Taking P280GH steel,a typical steel for nuclear power plant applications,as the research subject.This study systematically con-ducted corrosion performance evaluations on LMD-fabricated P280GH carbon steel samples(oriented in X,Y,and Z direc-tions)under four distinct test scenarios:316℃high-temperature and high-pressure(HTHP)water,75℃demineralized wa-ter,pitting corrosion,and electrochemical corrosion.All LMD-fabricated material meet the nuclear power plant design code RCC-M,with comparative analyses implemented against conventionally forged P280GH steel.The test results demonstrated that after 1000 hours corrosion exposure in HTHP water environment,all samples of both LMD and forged materials exhib-ited weight gain.The LMD samples showed no significant anisotropy in corrosion performance,and their oxidation rate was slightly higher than that of the forged counterparts.Uniform corrosion tests in 75℃demineralized water indicated that the weight loss of all samples increased with prolonged exposure duration.The corrosion behavior of LMD samples was margin-ally different from that of forged ones,and no obvious anisotropy was observed in the LMD material.For pitting corrosion tests,the corrosion rates of AM samples in X and Y directions were comparable to those of forged samples,while the Z-direction samples of the LMD material presented the lowest corrosion rate.No statistically significant differences were de-tected in the electrochemical corrosion data among all tested samples,as the variations in corrosion potential and breakdown potential were within 4%.Synthesizing the experimental results of the four corrosion performance tests,it is concluded that the corrosion resistance of LMD-fabricated P280GH steel is comparable to that of forged P280GH steel.The LMD material performed slightly inferior to the forged material only in the 1000-hour uniform corrosion test,and it did not exhibit signifi-cant anisotropy in terms of corrosion performance.
