Food Conservation and Loss Reduction:China's Actions,Progress,and Future Prospects

Abstract
In recent years,the Chinese government has successively launched targeted campaigns to reduce food loss and waste.It has not only achieved remarkable results,but also provided valuable experience for other countries.We systematically reviewed the policy evolution and progress of food conservation and loss reduction actions in China,analyzed current challenges,and outlined key policy priorities for the future.The targets of food conservation and loss reduction actions in China include ensuring national food security,advancing sustainable development,spreading outstanding traditional Chinese culture,as well as promoting the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.After undergoing an exploratory start-up phase and a comprehensive advancement phase,China's legal and policy frameworks for food conservation and loss reduction have continuously im-proved,with the establishment and refinement of work coordination mechanisms and assessment systems.Significant reductions in losses and waste have been achieved in key sectors,and a model of joint governance involving the entire society has gradually taken shape.Currently,China's food conserva-tion and loss reduction initiatives have entered a critical phase of tackling challenges in key sectors.In the future,it is essential to accelerate the unloc-king of the potential for loss reduction in critical areas,continuously strengthen public awareness of conservation,actively refine the Chinese model and solutions,so as to make greater contributions to global food conservation and loss reduction efforts.关键词
