A Critical Study of the Working Class's Living Space in Volume Ⅰ of Capital
摘要
Abstract
In Volume Ⅰ of Capital,Marx profoundly analyzed the capitalist mode of production using historical materialism.Driven by the logic of capital,space became a tool for the bourgeoisie to obtain surplus value and exercise class rule.The bourgeoisie utilized space as an instrument to exploit the proletariat comprehensively across their working space,living space,and leisure space.By analyzing the aforementioned circumstances of the working class in capitalist cities,Marx revealed the injustice inherent in the capitalist mechanism of spatial production.The socialist mode of production can construct working space for the people centered on the human subject,build living space characterized by affordable housing and secure residency,and create leisure space catering to the people's aspirations for a better life.Therefore,systematically elucidating Marx's critique of the working class's living space in Volume Ⅰ of Capital holds significant practical implications for constructing socialist space that transcends the logic of capital.关键词
