Abstract
To mitigate the thermal lensing effect of the gain medium in high-power picosecond lasers and improve the stable mode-locked output power,a picosecond laser based on Nd:YVO₄/YVO₄ bonded crystal is designed.An 888 nm semiconduc-tor laser was used as the pump source to reduce thermal load,and a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror(SESAM)is em-ployed to construct a folded resonator for stable mode-locking.Experimental results show that at a maximum pump power of 28.9 W,the system achieves continuous-wave mode-locked output at a central wavelength of 1 064 nm,with a maximum aver-age power of 7.4 W,pulse duration of 20.4 ps,repetition rate of 120 MHz,optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of approxi-mately 25%,and average beam quality factor of about 1.33.关键词
