润眼方超声雾化熏蒸联合睑板腺按摩治疗睑板腺功能障碍相关干眼的疗效研究
Study on the efficacy of runyan formula ultrasonic atomization fumigation combined with meibomian gland massage in the treatment of meibomian gland dysfunction-related dry eye

Abstract
Objective To investigate the efficacy of runyan formula ultrasonic atomization fumigation combined with meibomian gland massage in patients with meibomian gland dysfunction(MGD)-related dry eye.Methods This single-center,prospective,randomized,controlled clinical study enrolled 60 patients(120 eyes)with dry eye who met the inclusion criteria from August 2023 to November 2024.Participants were randomly divided into an experimental group(30 cases,60 eyes)and a control group(30 cases,60 eyes).The experimental group received runyan formula ultrasonic atomization fumigation combined with meibomian gland massage,while the control group received sterile water ultrasonic atomization fumigation combined with meibomian gland massage.Treatments were administered once weekly for four consecutive weeks.Before and after treatment,all patients underwent Ocular Surface Disease Index(OSDI)scoring.Parameters including tear meniscus height(TMH),average tear film breakup time(BUT),and eye redness scores were collected using a comprehensive ocular surface analyzer,and meibomian gland secretion function was evaluated.Results All patients completed the treatment and follow-up.Compared with pre-treatment levels,both groups showed improvements in OSDI,TMH,and BUT after treatment,with the experimental group demonstrating superior outcomes to the control group(P<0.05).The eye redness score improved significantly in the experimental group after treatment,whereas no statistically significant difference was observed in the control group.Meibomian gland secretion function improved in both groups after treatment,but there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups.Conclusion Runyan formula ultrasonic atomization fumigation combined with meibomian gland massage is effective in treating MGD-related dry eye.It not only alleviates dry eye symptoms and improves tear film stability but also reduces ocular surface hyperemia.关键词
