Abstract

Leaf angle is a key agronomic trait that determines plant architecture and yield in crops.Mining regulatory genes underlying leaf angle is of great significance for improving plant architecture.Using the genome of wheat cultivar KN9204,this study identified 246 bZIP transcription factors via bioinformatics methods,and systematically analyzed their physicochemical properties,phylogenetic relationships,chromosomal locations,conserved motifs,and functional domains.Furthermore,transcriptome data were integrated to analyze the expression patterns of bZIP family genes in different tissues and developmental stages of leaves.The results revealed that most bZIP proteins exhibit structural instability.Conserved motif analysis indicated that closely related subfamilies share specific motif conservation.Tissue-specific expression profiling identified 41 differentially expressed bZIP members,among which 9 were significantly upregulated in the lamina joint.Four of these genes were selected for qRT-PCR validation,and their expression trends were consistent with the transcriptomic data.This study preliminarily screened potential bZIP candidate genes as candidates that may be involved in wheat lamina joint development and leaf angle formation,providing a theoretical foundation and genetic resources for deciphering the regulatory mechanisms underlying lamina joint development and leaf angle formation.
