Abstract

The efficient separation and enrichment of methane from low-concentration coalbed methane is of great industrial and environmental significance for improving resource utilization and promoting low-carbon clean energy.In this paper,Ni-PCP-IPA and methoxy-functionalized Ni-PCP-IPA-OCH3 were prepared.The structures and pore structures of the materials were systematically characterized by powder X-ray diffraction,thermogravimetric analysis,N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms at 77 K,and CO2 adsorption-desorption isotherms at 273 K,respectively.The CH4/N2 separation performance of the two materials was also investigated in depth.Selectivity calculations showed that the introduction of methoxy significantly enhanced the CH4/N2 selectivity,with Ni-PCP-IPA-OCH3 reaching 8.6.The adsorption heat of CH4 on Ni-PCP-IPA-OCH3 was relatively low(20.2 kJ/mol),suggesting that it is easy to regenerate.Breakthrough experiments further verified its excellent CH4/N2 separation ability,and cyclic tests demonstrated good reusability and structural stability,making Ni-PCP-IPA-OCH3 a promising adsorbent for the enrichment of low-concentration coalbed methane.
