Abstract

To investigate the fire-resistant separation characteristics of composite foam sandwich structures,one-sided fire-resistant heat transfer tests were conducted at 100℃ and 200℃ respectively,followed by analysis of the pyrolysis damage characteristics of component materials.Then,the Abaqus software was utilized to simulate the temperature field within the sandwich structure,and a study on the fire-resistant separation characteristics of a fireproof structure composed of the sandwich structure and a 32 mm-thick calcium silicate board was carried out.Results show that once the foam reaches 150℃,it undergoes a pyrolysis reaction,which causes delamination damage at the bonding interface between the composite material and the foam.The established finite element model can accurately simulate the temperature field at different positions within the sandwich structure.While infrared thermal imaging equipment can accurately measure the temperature field on the fire-back side of the model,it is difficult to detect interfacial delamination between the fire-facing composite material and the core material.Although the designed fire-resistant structure satisfies the requirements for A-60 class divisions as specified in the 2010 Fire Test Procedures(FTP)Code,pyrolysis damage of the foam core and interfacial debonding caused thereby occur within the sandwich structure,rendering it unable to meet the engineering application requirements for hull structures.
