LI Peifang's Clinical Experience in Staging Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment of Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Fatty Liver Disease from"Dampness-Phlegm-Stasis"
摘要
Abstract
Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)is a metabolic dysfunction-related liver injury caused by pathological excessive deposition of triglycerides and other lipids in hepatocytes.As a manifestation of systemic metabolic dysfunction involving the liver,MAFLD is categorized under"hypochondriac pain","abdominal mass",and"liver indisposition"in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).The key pathogenesis of this disease lies in the interminglement of dampness,phlegm,and blood stasis,with the three pathogens existing throughout the entire course of the disease.Additionally,the disease location mainly involves the liver,spleen,and kidney.Consequently,Professor LI Peifang divides the disease into early,middle,and late stages.The early-stage treatment focuses on regulating liver and spleen,the middle-stage on resolving phlegm and blood stasis,and the late-stage on eliminating toxin turbidity and reinforcing healthy Qi.With self-formulated decoctions and lifestyle interventions,disease progression can be effectively delayed by improving metabolic disorders.关键词
