Abstract

As one of the important traditional Chinese medicines in Jilin Province,biological re-search on Saposhnikovia divaricata(Turcz.)Schischk.can provide a theoretical basis and reference for the breeding of high-quality varieties of the species.By focusing on technological innovations in chemical components,quality and omics,this study systematically integrates domestic and interna-tional literature data from 1989 to 2025,to analyze research progress,hotspots,and developmental trends.The results show that chromones,coumarins,and polysaccharides are the main bioactive com-pounds of S.divaricata.Biological research on S.divaricata primarily focuses on quality differences of medicinal materials from different origins,fertilizer nutrition,as well as biological and genomic studies.However,critical challenges persist,including shortage of high-quality and high-yield germ-plasm resources and biotechnology.Although there has been a breakthrough in the genome research of S.divaricata,further efforts are still needed in aspects such as gene function verification and multi-omics integrated analysis.The research evolution exhibits distinct phased characteristics:from 1989 to 2013,efforts predominantly focused on the separation and identification of the effective compo-nents,pharmacological effects,and traditional agronomic traits of S.divaricata,while recent years have witnessed a rapid shift toward high-quality and high-yield-enhancing technology systems.This transformation is exemplified in the application of ecological intelligent technologies,such as re-duced fertilizer use,organic fertilizer substitution,and biological control,as well as the integrated ap-plication of biotechnology and genomics technologies in the quality control of S.divaricata,signifying a fundamental transformation from experience-driven to scientific mechanism approaches of S.divari-cata.Accordingly,this study proposes a three-dimensional collaborative development framework en-compassing"key gene identification-ecological process regulation-improvement of both quality and yield of medicinal materials",aiming to establish a theoretical system and technological roadmap for advancing high quality and high yield of S.divaricata,while also providing reference for the develop-ment and utilization of other traditional medicinal plants.
