《本草纲目》消渴病学术思想探析
Analysis of the academic thoughts on consumptive thirst in the Compendium of Materia Medica

Abstract
Consumptive thirst is a prevalent clinical syndrome.Over successive dynasties,medical scholars have amassed profound insights into it.The Compendium of Materia Medica,penned by Li Shizhen in the Ming Dynasty,stands as a masterpiece integrating the expertise of ancient pharmacology.This book not only systematically documents the properties,flavors,efficacy,and clinical applications of diverse medicinal substances but also embodies Li Shizhen's extensive clinical diagnosis and treatment concepts.Through a meticulous collation and analysis of the content related to consumptive thirst in the Compendium of Materia Medica,this study aims to summarize Li Shizhen's academic ideology regarding the diagnosis and treatment of the disease.According to Li Shizhen,consumptive thirst is located at the vital gate,and is closely related to zang-fu viscera.The etiology of the disease involves wind,diet,and other diseases,and attaches great importance to the acquired foundation of the spleen and stomach.The disease's pathogenesis is defined mainly based on the principle of deficiency and excess,further divided into three periods:excessive heat,intertwined deficiency and excess,and more dominant deficiency and blood stasis.Its treatment method should strictly abide by the disease pathogenesis to reconcile deficiency with excess,with the initial period focusing on clearing the internal heat,while the middle period emphasizing nourishing and tonifying kidney yin,and the late period involving tonifying deficiency,regulating qi,and activating blood circulation.In terms of medication,he flexibly utilizes the properties of drugs,combines medicinal food and herbs,and integrates prevention,treatment and health preservation,providing a theoretical basis for the research and treatment of diabetes in modern times.关键词
