Zhao Wenjing's experience in the treatment of renal cholesterol crystal embolization based on the theory of"crystalline turbidity"
摘要
Abstract
Renal cholesterol crystal embolization exhibits a progressively increasing incidence rate with poor prognosis and high mortality,presenting challenges of limited awareness,high rate of missed diagnosis,and lack of standardized treatment protocols in current clinical practice.Professor Zhao Wenjing posits that this disease necessitates early detection,early diagnosis,and integrated application of Chinese and Western therapeutic modalities.As for traditional Chinese medicine,she proposes the concept of"crystalline turbidity",viewing spleen-kidney deficiency as the root cause of the disease and crystalline turbidity as its manifestation.She upholds that its fundamental pathogenesis lies in"crystalline turbidity obstructing collaterals",advocating a staged approach for its treatment,with acute patients treated with pungent-warm medicines to unblock collaterals to address its manifestations,while chronic patients treated by tonifying the spleen and kidney to manage its root cause.For both acute and chronic patients,it is advised that dissolving crystals and dredging collaterals run throughout the entire process.Simultaneously,Western medicine interventions are suggested to be employed,such as lipid-lowering plaque-stabilizing agents,antiplatelet medications,and microcirculation-improving drugs,supplemented by corticosteroid regimens and renal replacement therapy according to the severity of the disease.关键词
