Abstract

In order to investigate the effect of the three-body particle intrusion on the stability of the braking pair,a friction block-rubber disc structure testing machine to carry out experimental research is built.A white light interferometer and other instruments are used to observe the changes in the surface micromorphology of the friction pair in the braking due to the intrusion of three-body particles.In addition,the experimental machine is used to experimentally investigate the tribological parameters(speed,pressure,mass,braking radius and so on.)of the friction pair under particle intrusion,and the time-varying vibration signals of the friction pair under braking are analyzed by using the multispectral analysis and the autocorrelation coefficient as a mathematical tool to excavate the intrinsic connection between the key variables and the nonlinear vibration characteristics of the friction pair.The results show that the two-block three-body experiment can reduce the chaotic vibration of the friction signals comparing with the single-block three-body experiment,and that the chaotic characteristics of the braking friction signals tend to expand or decrease under different pressures,friction block masses,and friction disc radii,and that the chaotic vibration can be suppressed by adjusting the key parameters of the tribology.The present study can provide a certain reference for optimizing the braking strategy and noise and vibration suppression of braking vice(friction between ground and tyre).
