摘要

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the teaching effectiveness of applying the blended learning method in the"Fundamentals of Surgical Sur-gery"course.Methods The course instructors designed a teaching reform applying a blended learning method to the"Fundamentals of Sur-gical Surgery"course.The study subjects were undergraduate students from the five-year clinical medicine program at Chongqing Medical University.The control group received traditional teaching methods,while the experimental group adopted the blended learning method,in which instructors separately explained theoretical knowledge online and practical skills offline.Results The students in the experimental group scored higher than those in the control group in theoretical knowledge tests,operational skill assessments,and overall grades,with statistically significant differences.Questionnaire survey results also showed that the ratings from students in the experimental group were higher than those from the control group,with statistically significant differences.Conclusion By applying the blended learning method to the"Fundamentals of Surgical Surgery"course,the course instructors improved the medical students'theoretical knowledge and surgical operational skills.In future medical education,the course instructors should continue to explore and refine the effectiveness of the blended learning method in teaching"Fundamentals of Surgical Surgery,"thereby making greater contributions to the training and education of medical students.
