泻白散加减联合复方磺胺甲(口恶)唑治疗儿童百日咳鲍特菌感染的疗效观察
Clinical Efficacy Observation of Modified Xiebai San Combined with Compound Sulfamethoxazole in the Treatment of Children with PertussisInfection Caused by Bordetella Pertussis

Abstract
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of modified Xiebai San combined with compound sulfamethoxazole in the treatment of pertussis infection in children.Methods:Sixty children with pertussis who were admitted to Jiujiang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital between October 2023 and September 2024 were randomly assigned to control group and observation group,with 30 participants in each group.The control group was treated solely with compound sulfamethoxazole,while the observation group received modified Xiebai San combined with compound sulfamethoxazole.Both groups were treated for 14 days.Compare the clinical efficacy rate,clinical symptoms,hospitalization duration,and incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups.Results:The observation group showed a significantly higher clinical efficacy rate compared to control group(P<0.05).The duration of paroxysmal cough in both groups showed statistically significant differences in time effect,group effect,and interaction effect during treatment(P<0.05).The duration of paroxysmal cough in both groups was significantly reduced at 7 and 14 days after treatment compared to before treatment(P<0.05).The observation group had a significantly shorter duration of paroxysmal cough at 7 and 14 days compared to control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the observation group had significantly shorter durations of nocturnal cough,vomiting after cough,facial redness during cough,and hospitalization time compared to control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions during treatment was similar between the two group(P>0.05).Conclusion:The combination of modified Xiebai San and compound sulfamethoxazole can effectively improve clinical symptoms,shorten hospitalization time,and have good safety in the treatment of pertussis infection in children.关键词
