Abstract
In industrial applications,turbomachinery supported by active magnetic bearings(AMBs)often uses augmented PID controllers.However,traditional manual tuning is complex,time-consuming,and experience-dependent.This paper proposes an automatic tuning method based on a nonsmooth optimization algorithm.It converts performance criteria into mathematical constraints and objectives,automatically adjusts controller parameters,and considers system uncertainties and varying conditions.Focusing on oil and gas applications,the study models the AMBs system and applies the optimization algorithm for tuning.Results show that the method completes tuning in about 7 h,meeting all performance requirements,including stability,sensitivity,and stiffness,and is validated on actual equipment.关键词
