摘要

Abstract

Through laboratory geotechnical tests and field compaction trials,this study investigated the engineering characteristics and influencing factors of high liquid limit soil in a certain region and analyzed the compaction quality and control measures for subgrade construction.The results show that,high liquid limit soil exhibits the following characteristics:high natural moisture content,high liquid limit and plastic limit,high plasticity index,relatively high strength(CBR≥3%),and a broad distribution of coarse particle content(5%-30%).The moisture content corresponding to maximum CBR is approximately 6%higher than the optimum moisture content.When directly used as embankment fill material,high liquid limit soil must simultaneously satisfy requirements for CBR,CBR swell,and workability.It is recommended to use a vibratory roller with a self-weight not exceeding 22 t for embankment compaction,with a compaction moisture content not exceeding 32%,a rolling pass count of 4 passes,and a compaction degree control standard no less than 88%.
