Abstract
A high-precision numerical simulation system was developed based on a coupled Finite Element Method(FEM)and Discrete Element Method(DEM)approach to model the bench slope blasting process.By integrating the advantages of FEM in simulating continuous medium deformation and DEM in capturing rock fracture and block movement,the system investigated key responses including blast-induced vibrations,rock throw distance,and rock mass damage.Taking a highway rock slope blasting project as an example,numerical simulation results were compared and analyzed against field measurement data.The results show that the FEM-DEM coupled model can accurately reproduce the dynamic damage evolution and throw behavior of rock masses during blasting.Simulated peak vibration velocity and throw distance show good agreement with field measurements,validating the model's effectiveness and practical applicability.关键词
