Advances in Research on the Function of Cancer-Associated Fibroblasts in Prostate Cancer and Corresponding Therapies

Abstract
Cancer-associated fibroblasts(CAFs),as an important component of the tumor microenvironment(TME)in pros-tate cancer(PCa),have received extensive attention.CAFs exhibit multifunctionality in promoting PCa progression,including facilitat-ing epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)in tumor cells,remodeling the extracellular matrix(ECM),and promoting angiogen-esis,thereby influencing tumor proliferation,migration,and invasion,as well as inducing drug resistance.Due to their powerful tumor-promoting functions,CAFs are considered promising targets for tumor treatment.This article mainly summarizes the origin and markers of CAFs,the mechanisms of their biological processes in promoting tumor progression in PCa,and the research status of target-ing CAFs,providing directions for more precise and individualized CAF-targeted treatment of PCa and being of great significance for the development of new treatment strategies.关键词
