Abstract

This study used pig manure and corn stover as fermentation materials,and used a self-made constant temperature anaerobic fermentation device to add biochar made from pig manure.The effect of biochar enhancement on the efficiency of anaerobic fermentation of livestock and poultry manure for biogas production was explored by considering the amount and particle size of biochar added.The effects of pig manure biochar on the characteristics of biogas production,gas production rate,volatile fatty acids,enzyme activity,and solluted chemical oxigen demandduring(SCOD)anaerobic fermentation were studied.The results showed that the addition of pig manure biochar with different particle sizes and amounts increased the cumulative gas production of each treatment group by 10.96%to 27.27%.The SCOD concentration of treatment group CBb2.8 reached its lowest value of 1 536 mg/L on the 25th day,indicating the highest utilization rate of SCOD.The addition of biochar has a relatively small effect on the pH of anaerobic fermentation,with treatment groups CBb2.8 and CBc1.4 being more favorable for the pH stability of the fermentation system.The treatment group CBb2.8 showed significant advantages in increasing the degradation rate of VFAs and increasing the concentration of coenzyme F420.
