蓖麻油基固化剂的制备及其对环氧树脂的增韧改性
Preparation of castor oil-based curing agents and their toughening effect on epoxy resin

Abstract
Two novel amide-type curing agents-maleated castor oil triethylenetetramine(MCOT)and maleated castor oil-diethylenetriamine(MCOD)——were synthesized from biomass-derived castor oil by introducing carboxyl groups and reacting with triethylenetetramine(TETA)and diethylenetriamine(DETA)via amidation.The influence of these castor oil-modified curing agents on the toughness of epoxy resin was investigated.The chemical structures of the products were confirmed by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and proton nuclear magnetic resonance(1H NMR).Both MCOT and MCOD were then used to cure bisphenol-A epoxy resin,and the properties of the cured resins were evaluated.Results indicated that the epoxy resins cured with MCOT and MCOD exhibited elongations at break of 21.64%and 32.22%,respectively,with corresponding toughness values of 45.5 MJ/m3 and 29.0 MJ/m3.SEM analysis revealed that the fracture surface of the MCOT-cured material exhibited typical ductile fracture features.Its thermal stability was superior to that of MCOD,achieving a maximum decomposition temperature of 488.7 ℃ and a char yield of 9.8%.This research offers novel insights for applying renewable resources in epoxy curing agents,and the synthesized curing agents demonstrate promising potential in flexible composite materials.关键词
