摘要

Abstract

Linear α-olefins such as 1-hexene and 1-octene are important bulk chemicals with steadily increasing demand.Ethylene trimerization and tetramerization represent green and efficient synthetic routes for the production of 1-hexene and 1-octene in the chemical industry,and significant research progress has been achieved in this field over the past decades.These oligomerization reactions typically employ inexpensive and earth-abundant chromium as the catalyst,in combination with organophosphine ligands and alkylaluminum cocatalysts,affording excellent chemoselectivity and high catalytic efficiency.Chromium metal,with its unique high-spin ground state,participates in catalytic ethylene oligomerization,wherein the electronic properties and steric hindrance of the ligands significantly influence the catalytic activity and selectivity.Therefore,the development of efficient oligomerization catalysts relies heavily on the innovation of ligand structures.This review summarizes the main types of ligands employed in chromium-catalyzed ethylene oligomerization in recent years and discusses the influence of ligand structures on catalytic efficiency and reaction selectivity,aiming to provide insights for the further development of efficient chromium catalysts for ethylene oligomerization.
