摘要

Abstract

Ovarian cancer is characterized by high incidence and mortality rates.Traditional treatment modalities are mainly surgery combined with platinum-based chemotherapy,but recurrence and platinum resistance rates are high.For pa-tients with advanced-stage disease,the 5-year survival rate is less than 30%,creating an urgent need to explore novel thera-peutic strategies.Immunotherapy has improved the prognosis of patients with various solid tumors and has opened new avenues for the treatment of ovarian cancer.However,most previous studies—in the settings of first-line maintenance,plati-num-sensitive,and platinum-resistant populations—have not yielded positive results.The KEYNOTE-B96 study demonstra-ted,for the first time,that regardless of PD-L1 status,pembrolizumab combined with weekly paclitaxel(with or without bevacizumab)significantly improved progression-free survival and overall survival in patients with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer compared with placebo,with a manageable safety profile.This breakthrough finding is expected to estab-lish this regimen as a new standard treatment for platinum-resistant recurrent ovarian cancer.
